Judy Schultz has always worn a number of literary hats: restaurant columnist, food and travel
journalist, editor, author, lecturer and most recently writer and host of a 13–part Canadian
literature telecourse. She is currently a full–time feature writer for the Edmonton Journal and specializes in travel and food. Her articles appear in newspapers across Canada and in
such publications as Western Living and Canadian Living. She is the author of three cookbooks
and two works of nonfiction. Two of her books have reached best–seller status, and several
have won awards and other recognitions. Looking for China, which chronicles Judy Schultz's
journey and encounters while traveling alone through China, was a Book–of–the–Month Club Editor's
Selection and won her the prestigious Asia Pacific Fellowship for Journalists. Mamie's Children:
Three Generations of Prairie Women won the Wilfred Eggleston Award for Nonfiction and was
short–listed for the Governor General's Award for Nonfiction. |
