Monty Reid has produced a substantial volume of literary work. His poetry collections
include The Life of Ryley, The Alternate Guide and Dog Sleeps. He has won the Stephan G.
Stephansson Award for Poetry twice and been nominated for the Governor General's
Award three times. Monty Reid was recently Assistant Director at the Royal Tyrrell
Museum of Palaeontology, where he was responsible for many new and innovative programs,
including spearheading the "Down to Earth" television series and producing videos,
audiotapes and books. Moving from Drumheller, Reid now makes his home in Ottawa, Ontario
where he is the Director of the Museum of Man. |
